Steve Kerr bought a minority share in the La Liga soccer club Mallorca.

Golden State Warriors and Team USA head coach Steve Kerr became the shareholder of the Spanish soccer club Mallorca, according to Alex Brodie from The Athletic.

Brodie reports that Kerr visited Mallorca last summer and watched the soccer team game after being invited by former Phoenix Suns vice-president Andy Kohlberg.

Kohlberg became Mallorca president and majority shareholder this summer, and Kerr decided to buy a minority stake.

2-time NBA MVP Steve Nash is also one of the minor Mallorca shareholders.

"I'm a friend of Andy Kohlberg, and we were talking this summer," Kerr said. "He told me about the change in ownership and offered me the chance to be part of the new investment group."

"I'm really looking forward to it, I was in Mallorca last summer to watch a match, supporting the team and becoming a fan. It's a very exciting opportunity," added the 57-year-old.

After the first two games in the 2023-24 season, Mallorca has 1 point and sits in 15th place in La Liga.
