The best Cheltenham Gold Cup each-way bet tips and which finishing places bookies are paying out on

The Gold Cup is the highlight of the Cheltenham Festival. The field of runners and riders is quite small, but it's still a tricky business picking a horse. If you don't want to back a winner, each-way betting is a decent option.

Paddy Power and William Hill are paying out on four places for the Gold Cup. SkyBet is paying on five places. The Pools is also paying four.

An each-way bet is effectively going for all or nothing. If you bet £1 each, you're making two bets with the bookie. The bet that the horse will finish first and the one that it will place in the number of places that they pay out on would cost you £2.

Last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Minella Indo is heavily-fancied by the bookies. He is being ridden by Robbie Power.
