Tom Dascombe on the legend who changed his mind about training

Tom Dascombe is back at home in Lambourn with a team of 13 horses for the Flat season after his split with Michael Owen. He was put off by a spell as Ralph Beckett's assistant. Dascombe worked for Satish Seemar, whose horse Victory Moon won the UAE Derby. A few days before the race, Victory moon trodden on his shoe and a toe clip went through his foot. He had to feed the horse twice as much as Andrew Balding's horses. Mike de Kock convinced Dasco to take up training. It was a difficult job, but it changed his mind about training and he is now eager to get back into it.
