Washington vs. Oregon odds, bets: Pac-12 Championship pick, prediction

Howie Kussoy, aka the Pigskin Profit, makes a pick for the Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks game on Friday night. The key Pac-12 title battle will be televised on ABC at 8 p.m. Eastern.

He also makes a pick on another Friday night college football battle, New Mexico State vs. Liberty:

The Ducks have been the best team in the country since losing to the Huskies, winning their past six games by an average of 26 points, as Bo Nix became the Heisman Trophy favorite.

Washington, somehow, has become the most underwhelming playoff candidate in that time, becoming the first team in at least 87 years to win eight straight games by 10 points or fewer.

Oregon will likely get revenge and reach the playoff by winning the final Pac-12 Championship, but unbeaten Washington will excel as an underdog, with Michael Penix Jr. — who threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns in the Oct. 14 meeting — airing it out against a beatable secondary.

The Flames should keep alive their perfect record and hopes for a New Year’s Six bowl, but New Mexico State — 6-1 against the spread as an underdog — will trade punches, ranking 12th in the nation in yards per play (6.9).

Jerry Kill’s Aggies have won eight straight games, including a 31-10 stunner at Auburn this month.
