Football is back and here to stay, and we’ve assembled a few of our favorite NFL Week 1 picks and parlays for the return to action this weekend.
NFL Week 1 picks and parlays: Look at the Steelers, Commanders and Seahawks (+476 or better)
- Steelers ML vs. 49ers
- Commanders -7 vs. Cardinals
- Seahawks ML vs. Rams
The Steelers were 8-2 in games T.J. Watt appeared in during the 2022 season. They now open their season against the NFC runner-ups, but one that is likely not going to be at full strength.
George Kittle and Nick Bosa could both reportedly miss the matchup, while Brock Purdy only recently had a major surgery on his throwing elbow. We’ve included Pittsburgh in our NFL parlay picks for this reason.
The Commanders might not be the best team in the league, but they have legitimate playmakers and a potential top-10 defense.
The line in this game only moved one point after the Cardinals released veteran backup QB Colt McCoy, which does not fairly represent the loss of chemistry and continuity they’ll have. Take the Commanders to win big.
The Seahawks have a real chance to win the NFC West this year. They got better on both sides of the football with the additions of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Bobby Wagner and Devon Witherspoon, while the Rams look prepared to start the year without Cooper Kupp.
NFL Week 1 parlay picks: 3-leg NFL moneyline parlay (+129 or better)
- Vikings ML vs. Buccaneers
- Jaguars ML at Colts
- Ravens ML vs. Texans
Our second NFL parlay begins with Minnesota. The Vikings may not have been as strong of a team as their 13-4 record suggested, but they have a truly explosive offense with Justin Jefferson and now Jordan Addison.
They’re facing a Bucs team that is unlikely to make any positive headlines with Baker Mayfield and a deteriorating roster.
The Jaguars are now 5-point favorites after opening at -3.5 against the Colts. They won seven of their last nine games and will be even more dynamic on offense thanks to the addition of WR Calvin Ridley.
The Colts, meanwhile, only have three receivers on their roster and won’t have Jonathan Taylor for at least four weeks, if at all, which doesn’t help rookie QB Anthony Richardson.
The Ravens gave up the second-fewest points and third-fewest yards after trading for Roquan Smith in the middle of last season.
They finally surrounded Lamar Jackson with playmaking wide receivers and should go unscathed against a Texans roster mostly bereft of talent. We like the Ravens to complete this NFL Week 1 parlay pick.
NFL underdogs parlay: Long shot Week 1 parlay (+1311 or better)
- Patriots ML vs. Eagles
- Browns ML vs. Bengals
- Titans ML at Saints
Bill Belichick is still the greatest defensive mind in the history of football and had an entire offseason to scheme up ways to slow down the Eagles. Philly is also going to be dealing with a Super Bowl hangover and has to recreate its chemistry with a host of rookies and young players sliding into larger roles.
The Browns have won eight of their last 10 matchups with the Bengals and get to play this one at home in front of the Dawg Pound.
There’s a high probability that Joe Burrow either misses the game or won’t be 100% of himself, while the Browns will have a consistent running game and the potential for Deshaun Watson to return to his Texans self.
The Titans ended the year on a seven-game skid, but only after opening 2022 at 7-3. Mike Vrabel is one of the best coaches in the league and had his team ranked No. 1 in run defense last year.
The Saints brought in Derek Carr to revitalize their offense, and the Titans gave up more passing yards per game than anyone, but it will take time for Carr and company to settle in together.
