When is the County Hurdle? Cheltenham date, time, runners, betting

The final day of the Cheltenham Festival is all about the Gold Cup, but the County Hurdle is one of six other races to keep you entertained.

A tense finish to the 2023 edition saw 33/1 outside Faivoir clinch victory by a nose, beating Pied Piper in the featured handicap of the day. Both hold entries again but are currently seen as outsiders by Paddy’s trusty traders.

Runners face eight hurdles over a distance of 2m1f, with a usually fast pace set at the front. Trainer Willie Mullins is a veteran in this race winning six times, most recently in 2022 with State Man. Closutton runner Absurde, who finished seventh in last year’s Melbourne Cup on the Flat, is the one to potentially watch for the yard this year.

You can run the rule over our County Hurdle odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, all the key details about this year’s renewal can be found below.
