Willie Mullins almost goes through Leopardstown card with 102-1 six-timer
Eric and Conor McNamara's Real Steel won the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown. It was the biggest win in the riding career of Conor's brother Emmet. Willie Mullins won five of the first seven races at the festival. He had trained Real steel before and he had a horse that finished sixth in Cheltenham Gold Cup. He didn't make the frame with any of his starters in €200,000 highlight. Kieran Buckley was banned for two days for using the whip. The horse Diol Ker was 40-1 outsider. Eric and Conrachnamara went over budget. They had eight starters.
