World Series 2016: Schedule and Predictions for Cubs vs. Indians Game 7

The 2016 World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians is going to a Game 7 on Wednesday. Chicago forced the game with a 9-3 victory in Tuesday's Game 6. The Cubs haven't won a championship since 1908, while Cleveland's last World Championship came in 1948.

Kyle Hendricks was Chicago's most effective starter throughout the 2016 season. Corey Kluber started Games 1 and 4 of the World Series and allowed one earned run in 12 innings of work. Klubers has started on short rest twice in this World series.

Andrew Miller and Cody Allen watched Chicago's straightforward victory from the bullpen and never entered the game. Aroldis Chapman threw 20 pitches in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings for the Cubs two days after throwing 42 pitches for them in Game 5.

Lester will be available to pick up slack for Hendricks or take the game from the middle innings to the ninth.

Cubs scored nine runs on Tuesday. Kris Bryant, Russell and Anthony Rizzo all hit home runs. Russell's grand slam gave Chicago a 7-0 lead in the third inning. The last time the Cubs scored so many runs, they won the Championship Series. Cleveland finished fifth in major league runs this season. Jason Kipnis had three hits and finished a triple short of the cycle.

This will be Chicago's third attempt at Kluber in the World Series. The hitters will have an idea of what to expect and seize an early lead. Hendricks will get the ball to Lester in seventh and he will work two innings. Chapman will close out Cleveland and end 108 years of suffering for the Cubs.
