Our friends at Tipstrr have been studying the form for the Aintree Hurdle, where it appears that the best value bets lie in seeing who will finish runner-up behind Constitution Hill.

No sooner is the star-studded Aintree Bowl behind us, than unbeaten Champion Hurdler Constitution Hill takes centre stage, as he looks to make it seven wins from seven outings before a possible switch to fences.

To do so he must step up to an untried two-and-a-half-mile trip, although the manner of his nine-length victory at Cheltenham suggests that he could be set any distance and still be moving away from the field at the line.

Constitution Hill is already being mooted as becoming only the second horse after the legendary Dawn Run to win both the Champion Hurdle and the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and the racing world will be eagerly watching on to see if he makes his much-discussed switch to larger obstacles.

The six-year-old is undoubtedly the jewel in Nicky Henderson's crown, and although he will line up alongside some more-than-capable hurdlers, it would cause a shock of seismic proportions if he were to finish behind any of them here:

Constitution Hill's prohibitively short odds  are of little value to the average punter, but that it does open the door for each-way value in the race for the runner-up spot.

With the other five runners available at 16/1 or higher, there is an argument for backing any or all of them each-way, but we will give the nod to Gordon Elliott's Zanahiyr, who fell at the last when well-placed in this race this year, and gave a decent showing when third behind Constitution Hill in last month's Champion Hurdle
