2021-22 NHL Season Award Predictions from Stanley Cup to Jack Adams
There are always some fun around the NHL awards. This is a list of 2021-22 NHL season award predictions.
The President’s Trophy is a tight race between the Colorado Avalanche and the Florida Panthers. Florida takes home the trophy, securing home-ice advantage for the playoffs.
The Florida Panthers are the current Eastern Conference champions. They will continue in the playoffs and make it to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Clarence S. Campbell Bowl is given to the Western Conference champions. Colorado, Calgary and St. Louis are in the mix. Minnesota Wild will make a trip to Finals this year.
Connor McDavid will win his third Hart Trophy after this season.
The Calder Memorial Trophy is given to the rookie of the year. Michael Bunting, Trevor Zegras and Lucas Raymond are in a tight race for the Calder.
Igor Shesterkin is the league's top goalie. He should be awarded the Vezina Trophy.
Roman Josi is the second defenseman in Predators franchise history to score 20 goals in a season. Josa also leads all defenseman with points.
Connor McDavid is currently leading the league in points. Jonathan Huberdeau is close behind him. Florida has one more game than Edmonton. Huerde Pau can win the Art Ross Trophy at the end of the regular season.
The Frank J. Selke trophy is given to the best defensive forward in the league. Anze Kopitar, Patrice Bergeron, and Ryan O'Reilly are the favourites for the award. Elias Lindholm will win the Selkke Trophy.
The Jack Adams Award is given to the most valuable coach to his team. Darryl Sutter was brought back to Calgary Flames organization in March of 2021. Calgary was in the middle of the pack in that season, but Suttering turned the team around this year, clinching a playoff spot and currently sitting at sixth place in league standings.
The Florida Panthers will play the Minnesota Wild in the Stanley Cup Final. Marc-Andre Fleury will probably retire within the next two years.
The Conn Smythe Trophy is awarded to the playoff MVP. Kirill Kaprizov and Marc-Andre Fleury are the favorites for the award.
