NHL odds: Oddsmakers expect Stars’ youngsters to challenge for individual awards

The rosters are set, the star players are signed and extended, and the Stars’ 2022-23 season is days away. They”re set to kick things off against Nashville on Thursday.

Dallas Stars are in the bottom half of the league when it comes to their odds of winning the Stanley Cup in 2023. Defending champion Colorado is the favorite at +450.

Dallas Stars are ranked ninth in the Western Conference. They are not expected to make the playoffs. Auston Matthews, Leon Draisaitl, Alex Ovechkin, Kirill Kaprizov, Connor McDavid, Kyle Connor, David Pastrnak, Chris Kreider, Nathan MacKinnon, Patrik Laine, Jake Guentzel, Steven Stamkos, Mikko Rantanen and Jake Debrincat are among the NHL players with good odds.

Jason Robertson is the 15th most likely player to lead the NHL in goalscoring. Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski are listed as longshots at +7500. Robertson also has the best odds for a Dallas Star to win the MVP.

Jake Oettinger is ranked seventh among favorites to win the Vezina Trophy. Cale Makar, Victor Hedman, Roman Josi, Adam Fox, Aaron Ekblad are also in the top ten. Dallas has never had a goalie win Veza.
