The 2022-23 NBA regular season is in full swing. Golden State Warriors are fresh off their 4-2 win in the 2022 NBA Finals. Boston Celtics are looking to return to the grand stage. Denver Nuggets passing extraordinaire Nikola Jokić, Milwaukee Bucks do-it-all star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Philadelphia 76ers ever-improving center Joel Embiid are the top three MVP candidates.

Health is the most important factor in NBA Finals predictions. Most teams have a clean slate right now, especially with Kawhi Leonard returning to the Los Angeles Clippers. Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks could make the 2023 NBA finals. I predict a Jokić-Giannis showdown with the Bucks in six.
Keegan Murray is the rookie who will contribute the most out of the gate. Paolo Banchero, the No. 1 pick from Sacramento, is not the highest ceiling, but he can help end Sacramento’s 16-year playoff drought. Dyson Daniels, No 8 overall pick to the New Orleans Pelicans, could be a steal for Dallas.

The NBA has some interesting sleeper teams in 2022-23. The only team that arises out of the East is Cleveland. The Pacers and Detroit Pistons are not playing at a serious level yet. New Orleans and Sacramento could have mini-breakouts in 2020-21 and 2021-22.
Willie Green is a good candidate to win the NBA Coach of the Year award. Monty Williams won it last year. Mike Brown would be a great choice if Sacramento ends its postseason drought.
