2022-23 NHL Preview: Vancouver Canucks

Bruce Boudreau took over the Vancouver Canucks in December. Vancouver was on pace for 106 points when Baudreau was hired. The team still fell short of a postseason berth, but it restored hope in the franchise. Bauldrove has led the team to the postseason 9 times in his 10 seasons as a coach.

Vancouver Canucks allowed the fifth-fewest goals on average in the 57 games Boudreau coached. They were 17th in shots allowed per game and 22nd in scoring chances against on 5-on-5. Thatcher Demko, 26, is to the Canucks what Igor Shesterkin is for the Rangers. Demkos is set to have a career-defining season.

Elias Petersson has plateaued since his 66-point rookie season. He was on a point-per-game pace under Bruce Boudreau last season and he should finish with a career-high 80+ points. Bodhreau coached Alex Ovechkin to multiple Hart Trophy-winning seasons.

Vancouver Canucks are optimistic about their future under Boudreau. They need to improve on defense and improve their goalie play. If neither of these things happen, they are worth bets on the online sportsbook.
