The Red Sox are probably underrated in the betting odds for the American League pennant. The team is in flux but they will bring back Chris Sale, Tanner Houck, Bobby Dalbec, and Rafael Devers.
2022 MLB Betting odds are out and the Red Sox are probably underrated. The Angels are coming off a run of four consecutive 4th place finishes. They finished over .500 just once since 2014 and that was in 2017 at .501.
The Red Sox are just outside the range of the White Sox, Rays, and Jays. Last year they lost the ALCS 4-2 but were so close to a World Series appearance. The team lost Eduardo Rodriguez and hasn't replaced him. They have money to spend and they could benefit from the lockout. The Baltimore Orioles are another team that is not worth mentioning. It's always a fallacy to look at the team in one year and say that because they won X games that's predictive or a floor of performance.
