2022 MLB Free Agents: Rumors, Predictions for Nathan Eovaldi, Johnny Cueto and More
Carlos Correa will sign a 12-year, $315 million contract with the New York Mets. The 28- year-old shortstop was supposed to join the San Francisco Giants. Aaron Judge and Jacob deGrom signed contracts with other teams. There are still a lot of quality players available in the free agent market.
Nathan Eovaldi is a free agent starting pitcher. He went 6-3 in starts last season with two complete games and a shutout. The Toronto Blue Jays are interested in signing him, but Boston Red Sox are not. If another team signs him the Red Sides will receive draft-pick compensation. However, Jon Morosi of MLB Network believes Eevaldi will re-sign with Boston.
Johnny Cueto is a free agent. He's coming off a disappointing season with the Chicago White Sox. The Miami Marlins are interested in signing Cueta, but they need to find a spot for Pablo López. Cueto made his major-league debut with Cincinnati back in 2008. The Cincinnati Reds are considering bringing Cuete back. Léo is still available as a potential trade target.
