2022 NHL Stanley Cup future odds: Avalanche, Lightning lead pack

The NHL Star Break is in the rearview mirror. Most teams have played nearly 60% of their regular season schedule. SI Sportsbook have begun to make changes to various NHL futures’ markets.

The NHL Stanley Cup futures are heavily bettors' favourites ahead of the playoffs commencing on May 2. The teams receiving the strongest support are the Avalanche, Lightning, Panthers, Golden Knights and Hurricanes. The young Rangers are also interesting. They have solid goalkeeping and young offensive talent.

Carolina is the favorite to win the Metropolitan Division in 2022. The Hurricanes are 35-11-4 and have the second-best goal differential in the Eastern Conference. New York Rangers are 32-13-5 and one of the best value plays at +600.

The Panthers are strong favorites to win the Atlantic Division. The Panthers own the best goal differential (+63). The Lightning are within striking distance of Florida and offer value at +280.

Colorado is the favorite to win the Central Division and Western Conference. The Wild are in the thick of the playoff race.  

Calgary Flames are the hottest team in the NHL, having won 10 consecutive games. Johnny Gaudreau is fourth in scoring and leads the league with a plus/minus rating of +41. Elias Lindholm (23 goals, 26 assists; 49 points) and Matthew Tkachuk (24 goals and 32 assists) are also good players. Jacob Markstrom (3.06 GAA) is third in goal with 2.6 Gaa and a league-best eight shutouts. Las Vegas Golden Knights are a threat to hoist the Stanley Cup. Jack Eichel returned to the team last week after a neck surgery.
