Manchester City (-135)

Are Manchester City broken? If so, do they still deserve to be favorites heading into Matchweek 15 of the EPL season?

The team has not kept a clean sheet in four straight league matches, giving up at least three goals in two of those four, and coming away with just one win in the process vs. Bournemouth.

The latest defensive disaster class was vs. Spurs in a 3-3 draw at the Etihad.

If City can't sort out their defensive issues, they are going to be in a world of hurt.

Arsenal (+310)

Despite opening up a two-point lead atop the EPL table, Arsenal remains the second choice in the betting markets.

The Gunners handled their business at home on Saturday, beating Wolves 2-1.

Next up is a midweek away trip to Kenilworth Road to take on relegation-threatened Luton.

Liverpool (+401)

It could have been a lot worse for Liverpool had they not managed to turn a 3-2 hole into a 4-3 win in the span of two minutes.

Late goals from Endo and Alexnder-Arnold in the 87th and 88th minute saved the Reds from home embarrassment at the hands of Fulham.

More importantly, the three points saw them leap Man City into second place, just two points back of Arsenal.

Past English Premier League champions

Manchester City clinched their fifth Premier League title in six seasons in 2022-23. Here are the previous Premier League Champions over the last 10 years:

Premier League title trends

  • Only two clubs have won three consecutive Premier League titles. Manchester United accomplished the three-peat twice in 1999-2001 and in 2007-09, while Manchester City is a reigning three-time champion.
  • Manchester City has won 60% of all Premier League titles awarded since 2014.
  • The Premier League runners-up have gone on to win the title in the following year 35% of the time.
  • Only seven clubs have won the Premier League title since its introduction in 1992.

Understanding EPL betting odds

EPL futures odds are constantly adjusted throughout the offseason due to player transfers and injuries. Once the season begins, title odds will change as teams win and lose games and as more players get hurt or suspended. Sportsbooks will also adjust EPL odds based on handle and liability to certain teams.

EPL futures odds will usually look like this:

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to win $350 if Manchester City wins the EPL Championship. If it's close to the end of the competition, or a club has been particularly dominant, you might see them with a minus sign (-) ahead of their odds.

This means that you would need to bet $500 to win just $100 on a Liverpool championship.
