Kyle Busch seeks his second straight victory and third of the NASCAR Cup Series season when he participates in the 2023 Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway on Sunday. Busch, who hasn't recorded more than two wins in a campaign since notching five in 2019, captured the checkered flag at Talladega last week after winning the second race of the year at Fontana. The two-time series champion has posted three career victories at Dover, most recently in the fall of 2017.
Busch is 12-1, while Kyle Larson is the 9-2 favorite in the latest 2023 NASCAR at Dover odds from Caesars Sportsbook. William Byron and Chase Elliott, who won this race last season, are 13-2, 2020 winner Denny Hamlin is 7-1, while Christopher Bell rounds out the top five 2023 Wurth 400 contenders at 8-1. One shocker: Roberts is fading William Byron, even though he is one of the favorites at 13-2. In fact, Roberts says Byron, who has matched his career-high already this season with two victories and recently posted back-to-back fourth-place finishes at Dover, doesn't even crack the top 10.
"This is a good track for him, but I can't do anything with these odds," Roberts told SportsLine. "He was fourth at Dover in both 2020 and 2021 but finished 22nd there last year." See who else to fade here.
Another curveball: Roberts is high on Chris Buescher, even though he's a 28-1 long shot in the latest 2023 Wurth 400 odds. The 31-year-old Texan is coming off his best performance of the season, as he finished third at Talladega last weekend. Buescher recorded his only top-10 finish in 12 Cup Series starts at Dover last year and registered three in four Xfinity Series outings at the track, including a victory in 2015.
