2023 Pennzoil 400 picks, predictions, time, odds: Legendary NASCAR expert fading Ryan Blaney at Las Vegas

Kyle Busch attempts to record a rare victory on his hometown track when the NASCAR Cup Series season continues with the 2023 Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. A native of "Sin City," the 37-year-old Busch registered his only win in 23 Cup Series starts at Las Vegas in 2009. The two-time series champion is riding high after capturing the checkered flag at Fontana last weekend.

Busch and 2021 race winner Kyle Larson are 6-1 co-favorites in the latest 2023 Pennzoil 400 odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Ryan Blaney is listed at 7-1, while two-time winner Joey Logano and Ross Chastain round out the top five 2023 Pennzoil 400 contenders at 8-1. The Pennzoil 400 2023 is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET. You'll want to check out the NASCAR at Las Vegas predictions from Micah Roberts, the legendary Vegas bookmaker who pioneered wagering on racing, before locking in any 2023 Pennzoil 400 picks.

Roberts was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting and now hands out NASCAR winners to his followers on SportsLine. Roberts is the nation's premier NASCAR betting expert, and his top pick, Chase Elliott, won the YellaWood 500 last October at +1200 odds.

He also correctly predicted Elliott to win the Jockey Made in America 250 in 2021, nailed the 2021 Coca-Cola 600 winner by hitting Larson's victory at +550 odds and was on point by targeting Elliott as the winner of the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix at +160 odds the previous week. Anyone who has followed his picks has cashed tickets.

Now, Roberts has analyzed the field and odds for Sunday's NASCAR at Las Vegas 2023 race. He's sharing his winner and projected 2023 Pennzoil 400 leaderboard right here.

2023 NASCAR at Las Vegas expert predictions

One shocker: Roberts is fading Blaney, even though he is among the favorites at 7-1. In fact, Roberts says Blaney, who has finished seventh or better in eight of his 13 NASCAR Cup Series starts at Las Vegas, barely cracks the top 15.

"He probably should have a few wins there after leading at least one lap in seven straight races," Roberts told SportsLine. "(But) in 13 Cup Series starts at LVMS, he's recorded a 15th-place average finish." See who else to fade here.

Another curveball: Roberts is high on Kevin Harvick, who is listed at 18-1 in the latest Pennzoil 400 odds. The 47-year-old Californian is looking to make his final year before retirement a strong one as he followed a 12th-place finish in the season-opening Daytona 500 with a fifth-place at Fontana last week. Harvick has won this race twice, most recently in 2018, and also was runner-up at Vegas on two other occasions.

"I've already bet him to win this week at a much better price," Roberts told SportsLine. "He's a two-time winner at LVMS, and his 679 laps led there are the most among active drivers." See who else to back here

How to make 2023 Pennzoil 400 picks

Roberts is high on a huge longshot who "is the best value of the week." This driver is being underestimated by oddsmakers, and anyone who backs him could hit it big. You can only see who it is here. You can only see who it is here.
