There's still nearly a month before the games start counting, but 2024 MLB Spring Training games are already rolling and sportsbooks are offering MLB lines. The Tuesday MLB schedule brings a massive slate of 16 games, with the action beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET. Some of the notable MLB odds for the day include the Rays at -125 against the Yankees, the Braves at -135 against the Pirates and the Dodgers at -235 against the White Sox.

It's also debut day for several key offseason pitching acquisitions, including Chris Sale (Braves), Eduardo Rodriguez (Diamondbacks) and Sonny Gray (Cardinals). Will those pitchers lead their team to victory, and what other games provide value in both the Florida-based Grapefruit League and the Arizona-based Cactus League? Top MLB Spring Training picks for Tuesday

One of Cohen's top 2024 MLB Spring Training picks for Tuesday: He's backing the Braves (-135) to beat the Pirates 7-3 in a 1:05 p.m. ET matchup in Bradenton, Fla. Sale is debuting for Atlanta after finishing the 2023 season in Boston on a high note. He gave up just two earned runs and struck out 19 over the course of his final three starts.

The fiery lefty came to Atlanta via a trade this offseason, and while there are questions about his durability, he should give the Braves a quality option on the hill as long as he's healthy. The Pirates, meanwhile, are winless in Spring Training thus far and are averaging just 2.3 runs per game, so Cohen is comfortable playing the Braves as slight favorites.

Cohen is also picking the Astros (-165) to beat the Nationals at 1:05 p.m. ET in West Palm Beach, Fla., in a rematch of the 2019 World Series. Jose Urquidy is scheduled to start for Houston, and he's entrenched in a battle for a spot in the rotation. That should give him plenty of motivation to have his best stuff on Tuesday.

The Astros already handled the Nationals 7-4 in their first meeting of the spring and Washington hasn't shown much offensively yet, making Houston the team to back as moderate favorites. .
