2024 NASCAR Cup Series Odds

Ryan Blaney captured his first ever Bill France Cup in 2023, but early betting for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series odds sees him looking up at Kyle Larson and William Byron.

The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs came down to a dramatic conclusion at Phoenix, where Ryan Blaney was able to secure his first ever Cup Series Championship. But the confetti had hardly hit the ground before oddsmakers put up odds to win the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship. Heck, there's even 2024 Daytona 500 odds out at some shops already.

Kyle Larson of Hendrick Motorsports is out in front narrowly at some books, and is tied with teammate William Byron at others. Both drivers were in the Championship 4 last year, finishing well ahead of Christopher Bell, who wrecked in the season finale and is no better than fifth-choice in the very early wagering in this market.

Kyle Larson (+500 to +600)

Kyle Larson was far from the most consistent driver in 2023, but he amassed the most laps led (1,217), the second-most wins (four), and tied for the most Top 5s (15) with William Byron.

Improving on superspeedways would help Larson immensely, as his best finish in six such races last year was 15th.

William Byron (+550 to +600)

Second in laps led but first in wins, Top 5s, Top 10s, and average rating was Byron, who came into his own in 2023.

The young star won on multiple 1 1/2-mile ovals, plus Darlington, Atlanta, and Watkins Glen, so he'll be in the win discussion on a weekly basis in 2024.

Ryan Blaney (+433 to +1,000)

Did Ryan Blaney, much like Penske teammate Joey Logano in 2022, simply get hot at the right time to clinch his first championship? Bookmakers and bettors can't seem to make up their minds.

Blaney produced only his second multi-win season at age 29, and kept himself afloat with a lot of Top 10s (18). But the Top 5s (eight) were lacking, as was his average rating (88.9, seventh among full-time drivers).

Denny Hamlin (+700 to +800)

Denny Hamlin produced another solid season in 2023 with three wins and 14 Top 5s with 998 laps led, but time is running out for the 43-year-old driver to capture that elusive championship.

Joe Gibbs Racing shot itself in the foot with vehicle malfunctions and pit road mistakes late in the year; can the organization clean up its act and help Hamlin shed that "best to never win it all" moniker?

NASCAR Cup Series betting trends

  • Repeat winners are quite common. Dating back to 1993, 16 of the past 30 winners have been previous Cup Series champions.
  • Hendrick Motorsports has been the most prolific team recently, with a driver winning four times in the past decade, including both 2020 and 2021.
  • Likewise, Chevrolet has been the best manufacturer, with its cars taking five of the last 10 Cup Series titles, including HMS' wins and Kevin Harvick's 2016 title for Stewart-Haas.
