Coming off a thrilling finish to a thrilling race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway last Sunday that saw Daniel Suarez win by this-much in a three-way drag race across the finish line, what does the NASCAR Cup Series have in store for us this week in Las Vegas?

Could it be more of the same in Sin City for the Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube at the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway?

Well, what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there, as this week’s field will be racing without the superspeedway package for the first time this season.

However, this is a track that loves variety, as five different drivers have won the last five races: Denny Hamlin (September 2021), Alex Bowman (March 2022), Joey Logano (October 2022), William Byron (March 2023) and Kyle Larson (October 2023).

FrontPageBets takes a look at drivers to watch when the green flag drops at 3:30 p.m. Sunday (FOX) in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Pick to Win: Kyle Larson (+400)

Our pick to take the checkered flag is two-time Vegas winner, and this week’s race favorite, Kyle Larson.

At +400, Larson is a heavy favorite at a track he’s dominated since joining the Cup Series 10 years ago.

In 15 career Cup races there, Larson, driver of the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy, has two wins, seven top-5 and 11 top-10 finishes. That’s right, there’s only been four races where he hasn’t finished in the top 10.

He’s led 447 laps at the track with an average finish of 9.9, which, according to NASCAR, is the best among active drivers and second in Cup history only to legend Dale Earnhardt at 7.7.

Larson’s also the reigning winner at the 1.5-mile track, winning last year’s playoff race.

A win Sunday would make him the fourth different Cup driver to win consecutive races in Las Vegas, joining Jeff Burton (1999-2000), Matth Kenseth (2003-2004) and Jimmie Johnson (2005-2007).

Las Vegas Top-10 Pick: Joey Logano (-125)

Logano, driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford, has three Vegas victories, tied with Brad Keselowski for the most of any active Cup driver.

In 21 career starts, Logano has 12 top-10 finishes, including seven top-5s.

Logano hasn’t had the best start to 2024, finishing 32nd at Daytona and 28th last week, as crashes have cut short both his bids for Victory Lane.

Vegas could be just what the doctor ordered to get his season back on track. Logano has an average finish of 10.0 at the 1.5-miler and has led 536 career laps.

Las Vegas Longshot Pick: Brad Keselowski (+1600)

The driver of the No. 6 RFK Racing Ford joins Logano as a three-time Vegas winner, however, the veteran driver hasn’t found Victory Lane there since 2018.

But that doesn’t mean Keselowski can’t pull off some magic this weekend, considering he finished fourth last fall in the playoff race.

His average finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is 11.5, as he’s tallied 13 top-10 finishes there in 21 career starts, including those three wins and nine top-5s.
