2024 NHL All Star Game Odds & Picks

The NHL All-Star Game is hitting Toronto as a revamped format includes four teams, each featuring a celebrity co-captain.

The roster will be drafted with players going to one of the following:

Team Matthews: Auston Matthews, Morgan Rielly, Justin Bieber

Team McDavid: Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Will Arnett

Team MacKinnon: Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Tate McRae

Team Hughes: Quinn Hughes, Jesper Bratt, Michael Buble

It's to be really awkward in the locker room when Matthews drafts Nylander ahead of Marner. What a bunch of back-stabbing jerks.

Finally, the All-Star competition has sprinkled in some incentive. Instead of every participant forced to compete in a skills event, just 12 players will show off in eight different events. The All-Star who finishes the events with the best score is awarded $1-millon. So, now we know we won't be placing our bets on a complete free-for-all.

2024 NHL All-Star Game Rosters

Whether it's based off of skill or purely a popularity contest, here are the players representing the four divisions at the 2024 NHL All-Star Game.

*Replaced injured teammate Jack Hughes

*Kyle Connor replaces Connor Bedard, leaving no Chicago Blackhawks represented

2024 NHL All-Star Game Outright Odds

All odds are pretty even across the board, with McJesus and his disciples as +250 favorites. Team Hughes trails at the bottom of the oddsboard, especially after Jack's injury that has left him replaced by Jesper Bratt.

But, who are we kidding? There are four Leafs representing Toronto and we know Matthews and Bieber are going to want them on their team. So, Team Matthews is going to be stacked. Plus, the script would never allow Bieber, who designed the All-Star jerseys, to lose.

Let Team Matthews have it and brag about it. This can be their Stanley Cup.

The best of the best compete to be the best. Sounds like sitting at Scotiabank Arena would leave you suffocated by egos.

NHL All-Star Skills Competition Odds

Now remember, the new format has all these guys participating in fastest skater, hardest shot, stick-handling, one-timers, passing challenge and accuracy shooting. Then, the top eight from those results will compete in an NHL shootout. Finally, the final six will undergo the obstacle course challenge.

So, we need an all-around player who can stack up points in each of those events. Who else other than Connor McDavid? He's a scoring machine but his 47 assists show the passing challenge should be a breeze, too. We've seen him win fastest skater without any issues before. Of course, his stick-handling and puck control is what makes him one of the best.

Though rumor has it that Makar is splitting his $1-million prize money with his fellow Colorado defensemen. So, if he doesn't win, he's got some explaining to do.
