5 crazy Eagles stats from a ridiculous 2022 season

The Eagles won 14 games this season. They could have won all 17 if things went their way. Jalen Hurts was the most valuable player in the league. Miles Sanders ran for 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. Dallas Goedert showed why he's one of the five best tight ends in NFL. The offensive line was ravenous. Brandon Graham earned double-digit sacks for firsttime in career and the defensive line had big seasons. San Francisco is playing the best football right now.  The team won the NFC East. It was so good until the final month.

The NFC East will not have a repeat champion for the 18th straight season. The Eagles won the division with a 13-1 record. Dallas was going to be the repeat winner, but Jalen Hurts' emergence changed the situation.

DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown set new franchise records for receptions and receiving yards. Mike Quick held the record with 1,409 yards in 1983, Zach Ertz holds the reception record.

Eagles set a new franchise record with 477 points. Jake Elliott's 22-yard field goal in the 4th quarter secured the victory. The team's offense was unstoppable when Jalen Hurts was in it. Hurting has a bye week and he should be back to full health. He has scored 35 touchdowns this season.

Jalen Hurts won his 14th game of the season on Sunday. Hurting is winning at a faster rate than any other quarterback except Marino.   He is 24 years, 155 days old.

The 2022 Eagles are the first team in NFL history to have four players with double digit sacks in the same season. They are two sacks shy of tying the all-time team record in a season, 68. The 1984 Bears have the record of 72, set in 1984. The 1987 Bears had 70 sacks. This team had more sacks than any defense helmed by Buddy Ryan, Bud Carson, Jim Johnson or Jim Schwartz.
