A Look Into the Life of One Of India’s Top Cricket Players

Virat Kohli is one of the top cricketers in India. He has been playing cricket since he was a kid. Recently he has won the T20 Cricket World Cup with the Indian team. He is considered the cricketing equivalent of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Kohli was born in New Delhi to a Criminal Defense Lawyer Father and Homemaker Mother. He was enrolled into a cricket academy at the age of 15. His father died of a stroke in 2006.

Kohli was the top scorer in the state T20 championships in 2007. He was made the captain of the Indian cricket team a year later. Kohli led India in 2016 T-20 World Cup and 2017 ICC Trophy. India lost to Pakistan in 2017 World T 20 Cup final. In 2019, India was eliminated by New Zealand in World Cricket Cup semi-finals. Under Kohlin's leadership, the team won every game on their tour of New Zealander in 2020.

Kohli is a professional cricketer and a vegetarian. He married Anushka Sharma in 2017 and they are expecting their first child together in 2021. In 2013 he started the Virat Kohli foundation to help children born into underprivileged societies around the world.
