India Show They Have Strong Limited Overs Batting Line Up In 2022

Indian cricket team is currently fourth in the ODI rankings. They are top the T20I rankings and fourth place in ODD standings.

India have a strong limited overs batting line-up in 2022 T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan are the set opening partnership for India. Shubman Gill and Dhawan are one-day openers. Sharma has led his team to 14 consecutive T-20 wins since taking over the captaincy from Virat Kohli. He broke the record for most sixes hit by an Indian in the competition’s history. India got off to a good start in Australia in T 20 World cup, but lost to England. The focus is now on the 2023 50 overs World Championship.

Kohli has rediscovered his best form in the second half of 2022. He scored 83 against Pakistan and 62 against Netherlands in T20 World Cup. Mohammad Rizwan was the only player to finish ahead of Kohli in Asia Cup in August and September.

Jadeja and Yadav are important players for India's limited overs team. Jadeja has played all three formats this year. Yadv scored his maiden T20I century against England in Nottingham in July. India have a strong limited over batting line-up in 2022. They are hoping to have more success in white ball cricket heading into 2023.
