Aberdeen's Premiership title odds revealed as fixtures confirmed for 2023/24 season

Now that the Premiership fixtures have been released, fans are weighing up their team's prospects ahead of the new campaign, and Aberdeen face a tough start.

Opening the campaign with a trip to Livingston, challenging tests await with trips to Ibrox and Tynecastle and Pittodrie clashes with Celtic and Hibs all packed in to the first two months.

It's a big ask from Barry Robson's Reds, who put in a superb effort to seal third place at the end of last season having endured a nightmare run of winter results.

The bookies have since made their predictions however, and BetVictor has revealed their updated title odds with defending champions Celtic favourites to lift the trophy in May.

Brendan Rodgers is tasked with making it three titles in-a-row and it won't be long before the Dons see a familiar foe in the dugout as he brings his side to the Granite City on August 12.

Celtic's odds stand at 8/13 to win the Premiership, while Rangers - who Aberdeen will face on September 30 - have been given 6/5 odds of what would be their second title in four years.

Then come their nearest challengers in the Reds, Hearts and Hibs, and despite pipping the Jambos to third last term, Steven Naismith's side have landed shorter odds than Aberdeen with 150/1.

Robson's squad have been dealt 200/1 odds of winning what would be a first league title since 1985, as Aberdeen remain the last team outwith the Old Firm to seal the ultimate prize in Scotland.

Hibs received 250/1 odds of winning the Premiership, and for the Dons they will be more than eager to beat the Edinburgh duo to third place once again to claim European football, but having enjoyed a big win over Rangers in April, aspirations will be higher around the Red Army.
