Aiden Markram Upper Cuts Haris Rauf For Six With Both Feet Off The Ground

Watch: Aiden Markram played an upper cut with both feet off the ground to send a Haris Rauf bouncer for a six in the South Africa-Pakistan World Cup 2023 clash on October 27.

Bowling his third over, Rauf came charging in. Just an over before, he had hit Rassie van der Dussen’s helmet with a nasty 150kmph bouncer. Inspired by that, the pacer resorted to a similar ploy on the second ball of the 13th over. The difference this time though was that a red-hot Markram, who was striking the ball well to this point, was on strike.

He bowled a bouncer that was away from Markram’s body. The South African batter pounced on it immediately – within a fraction of a second, Markram was off the ground with both his feet in the air. While still in his flight, Markram slashed Rauf for a six over the deep third man. What a marvellous shot.
