This is the third bowl appearance for the Wildcats under Chris Klieman. Alabama's last three losses came in College Football Playoff National Championship. It is Alabama’s 15th bowl/national championship game in nine years of the CFP era. Eight of last ten Sugar Backs have been decided by double-digits. Last year's game was depressing. Baylor won 21-7. The last one was after Matt Corral was injured.
