Alabama’s favored over Georgia, and here are the betting trends

The Alabama Crimson Tide are 24-1 straight up and 14-11 against the spread in their last 25 games against SEC opponents. They are a 4-point favorite in Atlanta against Georgia Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday night.

Alabama Crimson Tide finished the regular season ranked second in the nation in total defense and first in scoring defense. Alabama's 24-6 win over Clemson in Sugar Bowl last week was the result of dominant defense, with Alabama allowing only 188 yards and two interceptions.

Alabama is favored over Georgia. Georgia won the Rose Bowl 54-48 in double overtime. Sony Michel and Nick Chubb were the main offensive contributors for Georgia, while Alabama's defense is very good. Alabama is 5-1 in its last six games played in January.
