Almanzor Colt Shines on Return
Dynastic won the Listed El Roca-Sir Colin Meads Trophy at Hastings. Mark Walker-trained son of Almanzor was second favourite behind stablemate Fellini. Opie Bosson rode him to victory. Golden Darci finished second with debutant Pier third. Dynastic has the Gr.2 Gr1 at Hawke’s Bay Guineas (Gr. 2, 1400m) in three weeks. He was bought from the 2021 National Yearling sale Book 1 draft for $360,000 by Te Akau Racing principal David Ellis. The horse was bred by Windsor Park Stud in partnership with client John Thompson and his wife Margaret out of the Volksraad mare Meir.
