Analysis: The three 'sentenced' players in Real Madrid's squad for next season

Real Madrid have already decided the futures of their squad for next season. Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos will be offered new short-term deals. Nacho Fernandez and Marco Asensio are less certain. Three of the squad are already 'sentenced' and will not continue.

Mariano Diaz is one of the three players who are not in the squad for next season. He has played just 25 minutes for Real Madrid this season and is unlikely to play more than 100 times. His last six months at the club are his last.

Dani Ceballos is out of contract this summer and is expected to leave Real Madrid. He joined the club at 20 from Real Betis for €16.5m. Cevallo has played 85 times for Los Blancos and 10 times this season.

Eden Hazard is leaving Chelsea in 2019. Florentino Perez is prepared to write off a very expensive transfer. He has played just three starts and 296 minutes this season. He made 73 appearances, 7 goals and 11 assists. Zinedine Zidane and Ancelotti have tried repeatedly to recover the player that once terrorised defences.
