Anamoe beats star field in Might And Power Stakes

Anamoe won the $1 million The Might And Power Stakes. It was billed as an entrée to the Cox Plate. Anamo won by a narrow margin over I'm Thunderstruck and Zaaki. The Cox plate takes place at Moonee Valley on October 22. Mr Brightside finished fourth. He was the only horse to finish ahead of Alligator Blood. There were no spectators at the race. A Caulfield Guineas was held at Caufield last year. Mr. Brightness finished fifth. His trainer, James McDonald, is proud of his horse.
