Shohei Ohtani has signed a contract extension with the Los Angeles Angels until 2023. The two-way player is having another incredible season for the Angels. He is fourth in the American League in home runs and seventh in RBIs. Ohtsani is also on a 15-game hitting streak. He won Rookie of the Year in 2018 and is up against Aaron Judge for AL MVP. His contract is worth $30m. It is the highest one-year contract for a player in MLB history. Mookie Betts' contract was worth only $27m before he was traded to the LA Dodgers.
