Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers set out to prove themselves all over again

Anthony Davis and LeBron James are excited about the upcoming season. Los Angeles Lakers are not. Last season, the team didn't qualify for the play-in tournament. Coach Frank Vogel was fired. Russell Westbrook struggled to fit in during his first season with the Lakers. Dennis Schroder might not report to training camp for another week.  Lakers vice president of basketball operations and general manager Rob Pelinka would be open to a trade involving Westbrook. He would give up the 2027 and 2029 first-round draft picks in the deal. James believes Westbrook can help the L.A. Lakers win this season if he stays.
