Arsenal hope, Chelsea struggle, Tottenham battle Man City

A supercomputer has predicted the outcome of all ten Premier League fixtures this weekend. Arsenal are currently top of the table thanks to their late 1-0 win over Brentford, while Manchester City and Liverpool are second and third respectively following their 1-1 draw.

Tottenham dropped down to fifth after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa and Chelsea were on the end of a 4-1 hammering against Newcastle. With no European action, Mauricio Pochettino and Ange Postecoglou have been working with their players on the training field in the hope of getting a better result this weekend.

Arsenal, meanwhile, were in Champions League action on Wednesday and made light work of Lens. The Gunners secured qualification into the knockout stages thanks to a 6-0 win with Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Jorginho getting the goals.

Next up for Mikel Arteta's side is Wolverhampton Wanderers, who make the trip to north London on Saturday. On Sunday, meanwhile, Chelsea welcome Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham travel to reigning champions Man City.

Ahead of the games, football analysts at BetVictor have deployed their predictive Premier League supercomputer once again, with projections simulating the next set of fixtures, incorporating current standings and recent form. According to the supercomputer, the Gunners have a 75 per chance of winning against Gary O'Neil's side while the chance of a draw is 16 per cent.

Brighton have been given a 50 per cent chance of heaping more misery on Chelsea by winning at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have been given just a 26 per cent of winning by the supercomputer.

Manchester City welcome a wounded Tottenham this week, with BetVictor’s algorithm predicting a 66 per cent chance of City extending Spurs’ losing streak to four. The Lilywhites’ record against Pep Guardiola does favour a close contest, having won seven and lost eight. However, they’re underdogs for the fixture with a 34 per cent hope of escaping with at least a point.

Elsewhere, Brentford, Burnley, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Crystal Palace have been backed to pick up wins this weekend. The supercomputer has also predicted the final Premier League table come May, with Man City on top with 83 points. Arsenal second with 79 points, Liverpool third with 76 and Newcastle fourth with 73.

Tottenham come in at eighth with 61 points while Chelsea are 11th with a mere 50 points. Of course, it remains to be seen what happens this weekend, but the supercomputer has given us an indication as to how games might play out.
