Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde Prediction and Odds: WBC, WBO and IBF World Light Heavyweight Title Fight

Wembley Stadium in London, England, will be lit up this weekend by 12 exciting boxing bouts that are due to take place on Saturday night. The headline of these will be between light heavyweights Artur Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde, who will fight it out for the WBC, WBO and IBF World Light Heavyweight belts. We look at the best bets to make ahead of the first bell on Saturday.

These odds from William Hill were correct at the time of writing.

Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde – Match Prediction

Here at Pundit Feed we love our boxing bets. Below are the best two punts we’d suggest making on Beterbiev vs Yarde this weekend.

Fight to Be Over 6.5 Rounds @ 2.00 (1/1)

Given the track record of Artur Beterbiev over the past decade, it’s almost a given that the Russian will win this fight, and win it by knockout. However, a more lucrative market is betting on how long the fight will last. Recently, the 38-year-old has been taking a little longer to finish off his opponents, going beyond 6.5 rounds in three of his last four fights.

We say that given the calibre of Yarde, there’s a good chance he’ll make Beterbiev work here, and a wager on the fight to be more than 6.5 rounds is a good gamble.

Beterbiev to Win Round 9-12 @ 5.00 (4/1)

More specifically, we think this will end somewhere in the final four rounds. Since mid-2019, 75% of Beterbiev’s fights have ended between rounds 9-12. For Yarde, when he loses, it’s either on decision or through a late knockout. Add these two together, plus the adrenaline of fighting at home, and this is looking like a fight that will be decided deep.

Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde Preview

With these two bets in mind, here’s more of a background on each of these two fighters:

Artur Beterbiev

Beterbiev is the reigning light heavyweight champion, collecting his three belts across 2017, 2019 and 2022. What’s most notable about the Russian, however, is the fact that the 38-year-old has been fighting professionally for 10 years, and maintains a 100% knockout rate across his 18 professional fights. His record of 18-0-0 with 18 knockouts is the reason why he’s such a heavy favourite to win on Saturday night.

Anthony Yarde

Against any other fighter, Anthony Yarde would be the man being talked about as a knockout artist. From his 23 wins, Yarde has 22 knockouts, only once winning on decision. He does have two losses to his name as well, however, going down two years ago to Lyndon Arthur—a loss he avenged 12 months ago with a fourth round knockout. Yarde’s big advantage over Beterbiev will be the crowd, with the Englishman fighting at home in this match.
