Eldar Eldarov won the Town Moor Group One at Doncaster. He has won twice over a mile and three quarters furlongs this season. Varian is considering running him in the Long Distance Cup at Ascot on Qipco British Champions Day or the Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp. He is only five lifetime starts but has already won at Nottingham and Newcastle. The Newmarket-based handler is already looking forward to next year when Eldar will be trained to be a cup horse. It is not until October that Varyan will decide whether to run him again.
