Australia clash feels make or break for Stuart McCloskey
Stuart McCloskey made his international debut for Ireland in February 2016. He was one of three debutants in the 21-10 defeat of England at Twickenham. The Ulster centre played alongside Robbie Henshaw and Jared Payne. His second cap came in November 2017. A third cap arrived 12 months later against the USA. It was two years before he made a fourth appearance in a dour contest against Georgians. Last July he played in New Zealand. He started on consecutive weekends against Japan and the US in summer of 2021. Now he plays for a different team.
Stuart McCloskey is in contention for a place in the World Cup squad. Jimmy O'Brien is already in. The World cup is still 10 months away. Ireland are preparing for the final autumn international against Australia. They are also preparing to play against the Six Nations. Joe McCarthy and Jack Crowley are in Farrell's squad for this match. He is focused on Australia and an unbeaten November campaign.
