Australian Open 2023: Taylor Fritz girlfriend, Vegemite bet, did she eat it, reaction, Morgan Riddle, video

The “most famous woman in men’s tennis” has paid her debt after hilariously betting against boyfriend and Australian Open No. 12 seed Taylor Fritz.

Morgan Riddle declared she would eat a jar of Vegemite if Fritz were to win his fourth round match against Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Fritz got the job done in four sets to book a quarterfinal date with world No. 1 Novak Djokovic and he let Riddle know about it.

Fritz looked to his box when celebrating the win and mouthed ‘I told you’ at them, later telling on-court interviewer Adam Peacock he had told his team he was going to win.

Peacock brought up Riddle’s promise before handing Fritz a jar of Vegemite, to which Fritz responded: “I won’t be partaking but I’ll make sure it happens.”

Fritz delivered on his word and on Monday posted a video on social media showing him handing Riddle a spoonful of Vegemite to eat.

Riddle swallowed and immediately gagged while running off camera and spitting it out before Fritz handed her a kombucha while telling his girlfriend to “come back on the camera”

“What the f***,” Riddle said.

“That was disgusting. If anyone had to eat a whole jar of that, nope, nope, nope.”

Riddle has made a name for herself by vlogging her glamorous life on tour following Fritz and has been described by the New York Times as “the most famous woman in men’s tennis,” given how often she is shown during his matches.
