Beamer hopes for better return trip to Fayetteville
Shane Beamer was in his first season as the outside linebackers coach and special teams coordinator at South Carolina when the Gamecocks played the University of Arkansas on Nov. 3, 2007. Arkansas rushed 58 times for 542 yards and won 48-36. Beamers' team will play Arkansas again on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the SEC opener for both teams. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. The field was named in honor of former coach Frank Broyles. Darren McFadden, Felix Jones and Peyton Hillis each ran for 500 yards in that game.
