The final leg of the Triple Crown arrives Saturday and that means it's time to look at the betting odds and make some Belmont Stakes long shot picks ahead of Saturday's race in Elmont, New York.
Belmont Stakes sleeper picks: Odds and dark horse picks for final Triple Crown race
Finally — fingers crossed — we get to watch former Kentucky Derby favorite Forte run a Triple Crown race.
Forte was a late scratch from the Derby in May and is the current Belmont Stakes odds favorite (5/2 odds or better at FanDuel).
Beyond Forte, the Belmont Stakes field is loaded. Preakness Stakes winner National Treasure is also running as one of the top Belmont Stakes favorites.

Belmont Stakes long shot picks: Bet on Arcangelo odds (8/1 or better)
Red Route One was the popular long shot pick ahead of the Preakness Stakes late last month. But the colt emerging as the buzzy Belmont Stakes sleeper is Arcangelo.
Consider these reasons why. His trainer, Jena Antonucci, is New York based who knows Belmont Park well. His jockey, Javier Castellano, rode Mage to a Kentucky Derby win this May and has ridden Arcangelo to two recent victories.
One of those wins came at Belmont Park (the Peter Pan Stakes), too.

Belmont dark horse bets: Consider Belmont Stakes Hit Show odds (10/1 or better)
Hit Show was a popular long shot pick at the Kentucky Derby, where he finished fifth after threatening a top-three finish.
With his battle-tested background, Hit Show offers upside as a Belmont Stakes dark horse bet. He's also a popular choice for Belmont trifectas, thanks to his near top-three finish at Churchill Downs.
Red Route One is another Belmont Stakes dark horse pick to consider. The colt finished fourth at the Preakness Stakes last month but Belmont Park doesn't quite fit his racing style.
However, Red Route One offers high upside (15/1 odds or better) and his trainer, Steve Asmussen, has won the Belmont Stakes previously (2016 with Creator).
Belmont Stakes favorites 2023: Bet on Forte odds (5/2 or better)
Forte entered May as the horse to beat in the 2023 Triple Crown season.
But Forte was scratched from the Kentucky Derby due to a bruised hoof and was subsequently ruled out of the Preakness Stakes as well.
Saturday's race at Belmont Park is the first time the colt will race since winning the Florida Derby in early April.
Other Belmont Stakes favorites include Tapit Trice (3/1 odds or better); Angel of Empire (7/2 odds or better) and National Treasure (5/1 odds or better), the Preakness Stakes winner.
