Bengals vs. Texans line, odds and predictions: Our experts like Cincinnati to beat Houston

Sunday’s AFC clash between the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans features two teams riding the highs of recent performances. As the Bengals try to keep pace with the rest of the AFC North, they’ll host Houston as touchdown favorites at home.

Houston-Cincinnati is set for 1 p.m. ET at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati. The game will air on CBS.

The Bengals have won four straight games. Their offense is starting to resemble the versatile and electric version we’ve grown accustomed to over recent seasons, with Joe Burrow throwing for more than 280 yards in three of his last four games.

But just as they appeared to be getting healthy, boom, we’ve got to monitor the status of Tee Higgins. Higgins hurt his hamstring in practice on Thursday and is questionable to play. Wide receiver Ja’marr Chase is tied for fourth in the NFL in receptions with 64 and eighth in the league with 697 receiving yards. He landed awkwardly on his back Sunday night, but it appears he will play.

However, you’re mistaken if you assume the Texans’ defense is the only one who’ll be up at night thinking about how to slow the opposing offense. The Bengals, who rank near the bottom of the league in total yards allowed per game (364), are about to face a Houston offense that averages the fourth-most passing yards per game this season, thanks to the stellar play of rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. Stroud will enter Week 10 on the heels of a 470-yard, five-touchdown performance that made waves across the NFL.

The Bengals have covered the spread in each of their last four wins.
