Son of Merchant Navy that was game in defeat first-up when going hard out in front. Expect him to derive plenty of benefit for the effort and have a bit more gas in the tank at the business end second-up.

Black Caviar’s son that is flying this campaign. Had no luck when working out wide two starts ago then bounced back last time out at this track and trip. Can win again.

WAVE THE WAND (Race 1 No.9)

Think Wave The Wand can be an improver on the synthetic track following a forgive run first-up in unsuitable conditions. Wasn’t far off in a tougher maiden than this when second-up last campaign and can run well at a big price.
