Best Canada World Cup bets: Expect Jonathan David to lead the way in goals

Canada will be participating in the World Cup for the first time in 36 years.

Canada has never scored a World Cup goal. Canada breezed through CONCACAF qualifying, scoring the most goals of any team in the competition (23). They netted a total of six goals in four games against Mexico and the United States. Their first game is against Belgium. They are currently -130 to score. Jonathan David is expected to score in the World Cup. Canada scored in 11 of its 14 CONCACAF qualifying games.

Jonathan David has scored 22 goals for Canada in 34 caps. His goals-per-game ratio is the best in national team history among players with five-plus goals. David is also a star player in Lille, scoring nine goals in 15 games this season.
