Best NBA Prop bets for Raptors vs. Warriors (Which Warriors to back on Friday)

The Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors meet on Friday night in a rematch to the 2019 NBA Finals, however that was a far cry from where these teams are now.

Friday, the Raptors sit on the edge of blowing up their roster and embracing a youth movement around Scottie Barnes while the Warriors are trying to rediscover their championship level form after a middling season to date.

I’m attacking the player prop market in this Friday night matchup, keep reading to find my three favorites:

Best NBA prop bets for Raptors vs. Warriors

  • Draymond Green OVER 23.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists
  • Jordan Poole OVER 2.5 Three’s
  • Scottie Barnes UNDER 16.5 Points

Draymond Green OVER 23.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists

Green has cleared this mark in four straight games and also his last two games against the Raptors, clearly this is a plus matchup for him. He is contributing in all sorts of ways over the last handful of games, including grabbing double digit rebounds in his past two.

While his scoring took a downturn in December, Green is averaging nearly eight points per game in January, and any sort of impact he can give in the scoring column helps get over this total as he is averaging nearly 17 rebounds and assists per game this month.

Jordan Poole OVER 2.5 Three’s

Poole’s January average is three three-point makes per game, but this is a favorable matchup for him given that the Raptors are below league average in three-point rate allowed and are allowing teams to hit on the third highest percentage from deep in the league.

If you want to go further, Poole exploded in the prior matchup against Toronto, scoring 43 points and hitting five three’s. It’s worth noting that Steph Curry wasn’t in the lineup for that game but I believe that this low mark is easy to clear even in a more off-ball role.

Scottie Barnes UNDER 16.5 Points

This isn’t a great matchup for Barnes against a Warriors defense that shuts down the rim for opponents. Golden State has the lowest rim rate in the league allowed this season, opponents shoot less than 30% of their shots in close, which is a problem for Barnes, who is only a threat to score from in the paint.

More than 54% of Barnes’ shots come from the paint this season and he is a 30% three-point shooter. This number is in line with his season long average, but I’m inclined to go under given the matchup concerns.
