Best NBA prop bets today for Clippers vs. Thunder (Trust Norman Powell’s jumper)

Playoff positioning in the Western Conference is on the line on Thursday night with the Los Angeles Clippers taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

The Clippers are just half a game back of the Thunder for the No. 2 seed in the West, and they’d love to pick up a win to overtake them. 

However, the Clips have struggled as underdogs this season, so I’m looking elsewhere for my favorite bets in the NBA.

Here are two Clippers to target in the prop market in this matchup: 

Norman Powell OVER 1.5 3-pointers made

Norman Powell has shot the ball at an incredibly high rate this season (45.3 percent from beyond the arc), yet his 3-point prop is low in this game. 

OKC has struggled to defend the 3 all season, ranking 25th in the NBA in 3-pointers allowed per game. Meanwhile, Powell has knocked down multiple shots from 3 in seven of his last nine games. 

As long as the volume is there for the Clippers’ sixth man, Powell should have no problem from range on Thursday.   

Ivica Zubac OVER 8.5 rebounds

After missing some time with a calf injury, Ivica Zubac has returned to the lineup and thrived over his last two games, grabbing double-digit rebounds in both of them. 

He did miss the team’s last game against OKC, but I expect Zubac to have his way on the glass against a Thunder team that ranks 29th in the NBA in rebounding percentage this season. 

Zubac also saw his normal minutes (27:46) in his final game before the break, a sign that he’s getting healthier. The Clippers' big man is averaging 16.1 rebound chances per game on the season, so asking him to get nine against a bad rebounding team is more than doable.
