Best NBA prop bets today for Thunder vs. Clippers (James Harden undervalued)

The Los Angeles Clippers are looking to bounce back at home against an Oklahoma City Thunder team that lost to the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night.

This is a favorable spot for the Clippers with the rest advantage, but they won’t have Ivica Zubac in this game due to an injury.

That’s led me to look at a couple of guards in the prop market for Tuesday’s best Clippers prop bets:

If you’re looking to bet on any game in the NBA tonight, FanDuel Sportsbook has an amazing promotional offer. New users who sign up with the link below and wager $5 will receive $150 in bonus bets.

James Harden OVER 8.5 assists

James Harden is averaging 8.4 assists per game this season, and he’s cleared 8.5 dimes in nine of his last 11 games, including a stretch where he did so in eight straight.

Harden is averaging 13.7 potential assists per game this season, but that number has jumped to 16.0 over his last 10 games.

The Thunder rank 19th in the NBA in opponent assists per game, and they play an uptempo style, ranking sixth in the NBA in pace. That should give Harden a few extra chances to pad the assist column tonight.

Norman Powell OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

Norman Powell is one of the best bench scorers in the NBA, and he’s made his presence felt by shooting the ball as of late.

Powell has made three or more shots from beyond the arc in five of his last eight games, yet he’s +150 to that tonight against an OKC team that ranks 20th in the NBA in opponent 3-pointers made per game.

Powell is shooting 46.0 percent from 3, so as long as he sees the chances, he’s going to knock shots down. Since Dec. 18 (14 games), Powell is shooting 49.3 percent from 3, averaging 2.6 made shots on 5.4 attempts per game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 30.5 points

There’s a chance that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will miss this game – he was questionable on Monday with a knee injury – but if he does play, this line is a value.

SGA’s points prop is usually around 32.5 since he’s averaging 31.3 points per game this season. The Thunder guard has scored 31 or more points in 25 of his 38 games this season, and he dropped 31 on the Clips in their last meeting.

He’s worth a shot at a discounted number on Tuesday.
