Best NBA prop bets today for Heat vs. Cavaliers (Bet on Darius Garland’s assists)

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a key matchup on Tuesday night with the Miami Heat as they look to extend the gap for the No. 5 seed in the East.

There are several ways to wager on this game, but my favorite may be in the prop market since these teams both have elite defenses.

Here are two Cavs props to consider on Tuesday:

• Darius Garland OVER 7.5 Assists
• Jarrett Allen OVER 12.5 Points

Darius Garland OVER 7.5 Assists

The assists have been flowing for Darius Garland over his last 10 games, putting up at least eight dimes in eight of those matchups.

Garland is averaging 8.2 assists per game on the season, and now he’s got Donovan Mitchell back in the lineup to set up to score.

The Heat allow 25.0 assists per game this season, so Garland should still be able to get the ball moving on Tuesday night.

Jarrett Allen OVER 12.5 Points

Jarrett Allen is averaging 14.0 points per game this season, but oddsmakers are hanging a low number for him against a tough Heat defense.

While Bam Adebayo is one of the best defensive players in the NBA, Miami lacks the size down low to deal with both Evan Mobley and Allen. Over his last 10 games, Allen is averaging 16.7 points per game, clearing this number eight times.

I think there’s a little value on him to go to work against the backup bigs for the Heat.
