Best NBA prop bets today for Hornets vs. Nuggets (How to bet Nikola Jokic, Nuggets)

The Denver Nuggets are massive favorites at home on Monday night, but laying 15 points with any team can be a bit nerve-wracking for bettors.

So, instead of laying the points with Denver, bettors can bet in the prop market in the Nuggets-Charlotte Hornets clash.

Denver won the first meeting between these teams, but I have two props on players who didn’t exactly get a full workload the first time these teams met.

Denver Nuggets 1Q -4.5 vs. Charlotte Hornets

This may be my favorite bet in the NBA right now.

Denver has an insane first-quarter net rating at home (+22.1 points per 100 possessions) while the Hornets have a net rating of -7.3 points per 100 possessions on the road in the first period.

So, this sets up well for Denver to lead early at Ball Arena. Aaron Gordon (questionable) could come back for this game for Denver, and the team already beat the Hornets this season.

I love Denver to take advantage early on New Year’s Day.

Nikola Jokic OVER 12.5 rebounds

Despite fouling out in the team’s win over Charlotte earlier this season, Jokic grabbed 10 rebounds for the Nuggets in that game.

He’s averaging 12.3 rebounds per game, clearing 12.5 boards in 18 of his 33 games this season.

Charlotte is just 25th in the league in rebounding percentage, so Denver’s big man should be able to dominate on the glass.

Brandon Miller OVER 15.5 points

Hornets rookie wing Brandon Miller is coming off a 20-point game in his last outing, and he’s scored 16 or more points in nine of his 14 games since LaMelo Ball went down with an ankle injury.

Miller played just 10:45 against Denver earlier this season due to an injury, finishing with four points. He’s worth a shot in this prop considering since he’s returned he’s taken 25 shots across two games.
